How do I best select the level of class most appropriate to me?
Refer to our Class Levels page for information on each level. If you are still unsure about which level to attend, we recommend you attend the less experienced level – there is always something to learn! Then discuss your options with the teacher after class. Alternatively call the studio to discuss too.
How do I prepare for my first yoga class?
We supply all the mats and props, however you are welcome to bring your own mat. Wear comfortable clothing that you can stretch in. We have change rooms and storage areas for your shoes and belongings. Do not eat a large meal 3 hours before class. No need to bring a water bottle or drink water during class – we have water available in the foyer for before and after class.
What happens if I am enrolled in a 10-week course and I miss a class?
You may do up to two catch-up classes at any other class of the same level, either a course or a casual class. Classes must be caught up within the same term (the ten weeks plus the following two-week “holiday” period before the next courses start). There is no need to book, but please inform the teacher at reception which course level and time you normally attend.
Class etiquette
Doors open 15mins before the start of class so you may arrive early and practice in the studios. The desk will not be attended before this time. Please check off your name with the teacher at the desk before class. Please turn off mobile phones and do not bring large bags into the yoga rooms.
How can I consolidate what I learn in class by practicing at home?If you are a relatively new or beginning students, we can offer you some practice sequences to do at home. We also have books, DVDs and yoga props for sale at the desk. We recommend Iyogaprops for all your yoga needs.
