Shayna Ogden Workshop

Friday 27 - Sunday 29 June

We’re delighted to welcome Shayna Ogden to Yarraville Yoga for a special workshop.

Some of you may already know Shayna through her long-standing involvement in the Iyengar Yoga community as a senior teacher, assessor, former Board member, and most recently serving as Chair of the Certification Committee. Shayna holds a Level III teaching certificate and is the Director and Principal Teacher of Ballarat Yoga, which she founded in 2013.

Shayna began yoga classes at sixteen and discovered Iyengar yoga at 28 – beginning a journey of study and practice that has now spanned nearly 30 years. She initially trained under Pixie Lillas at Balmain Iyengar Yoga Studio, completing nearly six years of teacher training. She has also studied with senior Iyengar teachers across Australia and at the Ramamani Iyengar Memorial Yoga Institute in Pune, India.

Shayna’s teaching style is succinct, insightful, and grounded in the discoveries of her own ongoing practice. Known for her ability to distil complex details into clear, purposeful actions, she brings a unique clarity and directness to each class, supporting students to deepen both their understanding and connection to the practice.

Before committing full-time to teaching yoga, Shayna completed a degree in mechanical engineering in Melbourne and worked in the field for a decade. In 2003, she moved to Glenlyon in Central Victoria and opened Daylesford Yoga before establishing Ballarat Yoga ten years later.

This workshop is a wonderful opportunity to connect with Shayna’s refined and grounded approach to Iyengar Yoga, and to explore the richness of the method under the guidance of a teacher with decades of experience.
