Farewell Madeline

We offer a very warm farewell to Madeline Ford as she prepares to step back from her teaching role here. Next week being her final week.

Madeline began her yoga journey at YYC as one our first students in 2003.  Having worked her way through the various levels as a student and having established herself as an experienced practitioner, she undertook Iyengar teacher training with Alan Goode through 2015 – 2016.  She has been teaching at YYC in various capacities since 2016.

Madeline has said she is not necessarily leaving for good and may return.  She says she is “stepping back”  from her yoga teaching role to allow more time for her new work as a gym instructor. Currently she is working at the Maribyrnong Aquatic Centre where she works with small groups and individuals on fitness programs. Madeline’s interest is in exploring and understanding the workings of the body and how to support it to optimum health.

Madeline has been a very hard worker for this studio.  She has brought good grace, enthusiasm, ideas and energy. Her contribution has been vital and is a good part of the reason that YYC still exists.

We wish Madeline every success on her new journey.  She will be missed professionally by the teachers and staff at YYC and we know she will be missed by the many students she has taught and influenced with her gentle guiding hand.

We hope to see you back here teaching in the not too distant future Madeline!
