Friday 21st August - Sunday 23rd August
After a very successful workshop in 2025, we are excited to be welcoming back James Bahuth for another weekend workshop.
James has dedicated his life to the practice and teaching of Iyengar Yoga, Thai Massage, and Meditation Therapies. He has over 30 years of experience and is the founder of Yogaha, a well-respected Iyengar yoga studio in Melbourne. James continues to mentor and train yoga teachers, supporting their certification and professional growth.
Teaching around the world James has lead yoga intensives in Bali, Europe, India, and Australia. From 1992 to 2010, he taught weekly at the St Kilda Iyengar Yoga School, and he has worked with a broad range of students from corporate groups at ANZ, BHP, MIRVAC, and the Victorian Government, to young people through the Albert Rd Clinic for Health.
He brings a rich depth of experience from decades of study with senior teachers in Australia and India, including the Iyengar family themselves. James currently serves on the Certification Committee, the Moderators Group of Senior Teachers, and is an Assessor for teacher certification in Australia.
James’ work also extends into the fields of meditation and healing for personal development. He has studied closely with John Morris and The Healing Arts in Melbourne, as well as Veeresh and the Humaniversity in the Netherlands, and at the Osho Meditation Resort in Pune, India.
In the realm of Thai Massage and remedial bodywork, James trained and later taught with Bruce Bentley at the Australian School of Traditional Thai Massage. He’s also taught at the Byron Healing Academy, and was among the first group trained in Pilates in Melbourne under Pauline Johnson.
James brings a grounded, compassionate and light-hearted approach to his work. He’s passionate about helping people feel centered, balanced, and connected both on and off the mat.
Outside the studio, you might find him motorbike touring, dancing, or playing guitar.
